Rotary club in our town was founded on 28 January 1934th , and chartered 18th May next year. The founder and first president of the club was Arthur Burda (1894-1984), a prominent citizen of Banja Luka, businessman and honorary Polish consul. The club was active until the Second World War, that in 1941 spreaded in our country. The last president of the club at that time was a famous painter, ethnologist and director of the Museum Spiridon Spiro Bocaric (1876-1941).
