Today
Sixty years later, the Rotary idea has been initiated again in this territory. With active engagement of the friends from Rotary Club Novi Sad and Belgrade, Dragoslav Lukac and Miroslav Sovran, the Initiative Board of Banja Luka organised the first meeting on December 14th 1998. A great contribution in re-establishing of Rotary Club Banja Luka was given by Peter Gut, a senior Rotary Member from Switzerland who showed, with his own example, the full value of Rotary idea. The Club members completed all the activities related to registration, selection of boards and defining of programme activities, which resulted in Rotary Club Banja Luka admission into a world organisation of Rotary club on November 2nd 1999.
